Check out three of our most popular travel strollers: UPPAbaby Minu, Bugaboo Ant and BabyZen YOYO2 and decide what stroller best fits you!

UPPAbaby Minu

UPPAbaby Minu Canada Stroller Review

The UPPAbaby Minu travel stroller is a very lightweight stroller ringing in at just 14.8lbs. The Minu has a very comfortable padded seat for baby, with padded adjustable harness straps and a deep strap recline, perfect for your snoozing toddler. This stroller is equipped with a generous sun canopy, magnetic peek a boo window and easily accessible storage basket with a weight capacity of 20lbs! A lightweight stroller with perks of a full-size stroller, the Minu is great for maneuvering through tight shop aisles or busy airport security.

You may be thinking, “that sounds great! What’s the catch?”. Parents everywhere love the UPPAbaby Minu- but every stroller has its pros and cons. The UPPAbaby Minu does not have a handlebar height adjuster. Meaning if you and your partner have a big gap in heights, this may be an issue for you. Another complaint could be that the seat isn’t front and back facing. Parents love to be able to see everything their child is doing, especially when they’re so little. With a non-reversible seat- this means baby will always be facing the world to see whatever adventure you’re up to that day.

 Bugaboo Ant

Bugaboo Ant Canada stroller review

It’s short and sweet- but don’t underestimate this tiny Ant. Weighing in at 15.8lbs, the Bugaboo Ant is a great travel stroller option. With a comfortable reversible seat, handlebar height adjustability and one-handed steering maneuverability, this stroller is a traveling parent’s dream.

The Bugaboo Ant folds down into a small compact fold, but did you know that the stroller can be pulled like a suitcase when folded? Parents love having the ability to pull the empty stroller behind them while racing through the busy airport or while juggling too many grocery bags because they thought they could make it all in one trip. Parents also love the Ant’s ability to grow with your child. With the easy one-handed button on the back of the seat- adjusting the seat height just got a whole lot easier.

So, what are the drawbacks? The Bugaboo Ant is very small and compact, which means the fold of this stroller is very small and compact. However, parents aren’t too crazy about the six-step folding process. You can check out how to fold the Bugaboo ant stroller here. Additionally, parents often mention that the seat is far too little. With a maximum height of only 22 inches tall, this doesn’t leave much room for a growing toddler.

 BabyZen YOYO2

BabyZen YOYOFinally, the BabyZen YOYO2 stroller. Did you know BabyZen was the first stroller accepted as cabin luggage? This stroller is known for its amazing maneuverability, simple two step compact fold and carrying strap. Being the lightest travel stroller, we are comparing -at just 14.5lbs- imagine quickly folding your BabyZen stroller and having the ability to carry it on your shoulder as you chase your child up the steps to your house or stand in a tightly packed bus. The BabyZen YOYO2 makes traveling easy. Traveling with more than one child? No problem! BabyZen makes an attachment for your older child on the back of your stroller. Check it out here BabyZen YOYO Board.

It’s important to note that parents weren't too thrilled about the storage basket on the Babyzen YOYO+. The major upgrade between the Babyzen YOYO+ and the Babyzen YOYO2 is the storage basket which can now hold 5kg (11.02lbs). This increase in weight capacity has made this stroller more ideal for grocery shopping and just everyday walks.

The lack of adjustable handlebar height on this stroller seems to be the major concern for parents as this makes the stroller less inclusive of all parents.

Overall, these three brands are great choices for your family’s next travel stroller. They check all the boxes being lightweight, easy to maneuver and having a compact fold. So, whether you’re traveling across the world or just tired of carrying a full-size stroller to the corner store- Your Little Canadian will love adventuring in these seats!
